I and my core lab team at İzmir Democracy university at the department of City and Regional Planning have expertise and interest on the topics of agroecological urbanism, sustainable urban food planning, city region food system and agroecological community gardening. We as the IDU CRP lab are part of FUSILLI project which is financed by H2020 programme (https://fusilli-project.eu/about/?cn-reloaded=1).
Also, I have been consulting a number of municipalities in Turkey and have coordinated İzmir-Karşıyaka urban food strategy which has been awarded with the First prize of UCTEA Chamber of City Planners Raci Bademli Good Practices. I also have been awarded with the education of agroecoloy; technical and educational approach by French National Agency and Turkish National Agency.
We as the team are interested with projects and consortia that focuses on the territorial projects aim at transition through an agroecological food system that also has impact on urbanism in an agroecological way.
Also we are open to similar approaches that puts a regional or territorial aim.
İzmir Democracy University is a state university founded in 2016 in İzmir, Turkey. The University hosts 43 undergraduate programmes within 10 faculties and, 54 master’s and 30 PhD programmes within 3 institutes (Natural Sciences, Health Sciences and Social Sciences). There are ten Research and Innovation Centres performing research and innovation projects and implementations.
