Trafo:agrar with its network is working to develop future perspectives and options for action for intensive agricultural regions. Cooperation includes study and teaching and further education. The center is highly interested to address questions of practical relevance in stakeholder oriented dialogues and co-creative actions. A specific interest will be on areas such as the development of modern and resource-saving forms of production, as well as on questions relating to increasing demands on animal welfare and food quality. With its network trafo:agrar could set a specific focus on conservation oriented soil cultivation or alternative crops.
The Center of Sustainability Transformation in Areas of Intensive Agriculture (trafo:agrar) at the University of Vechta is a contact point for farmers, society, business and science and research who want to impleent ideas for a sustainable and future-oriented agricultural and food system. Trafo:agrar promotes the dialog between science and regional economy as well as other actors from society, politics and administration. The initiation and application of regional, national and European projects adds to basic research or application-related issues. Topics include, for example, material flows, nutrient inputs, animal health or the acceptance of modern agriculture in the food industry.
