Urban and territorial planning; local food webs; participatory guarantee systems; agrobiodiversity
- at the landscape or territorial level
We are willing to collaborate with appropriate partners to foster and scale up agroecological food systems, specifically by linking urban and peri-urban areas through local solidarity partnerships (LSP) and participatory guarantee systems (PGS).
We have close contacts and an alliance with the Four Seasons Ecological Living Association (https://www.dortmevsimekoloji.org/), which coordinates the agroecological transition efforts in the peri-urban Tahtaciorencik Village of Ankara (https://tahtaciorencik.org/). We aim to:
- strengthen the existing agroecological production and distribution practices in the village,
- ensure the spread of these practices to the surrounding settlements,
- strengthen the "living lab" environment already created in the village with more research that links agroecology with economy, agriculture, soil science, sociology, cultural studies, architecture, regional planning, health, design, and governance.
- develop plans and policy recommendations at various levels, in the light of data, experiences, and contributions from the field.
- co-create an international agroecological transition guide that includes good practices, scalable and contextually adaptable models, impact measurement methodologies and policy recommendations.
