- at the farm level and its immediate surroundings
I am Research Associate, PhD, at the Faculty of Economics, University of Kragujevac. I have a doctorate in agricultural economics and I deal with the introduction and development of contemporary approaches in agriculture. I have published many papers, as well as a book, on the topic of innovative approaches in sustainable agricultural development. The goal of applying these approaches in agriculture refers to achieving higher productivity, through an optimal relationship between input and output, with a special emphasis on preserving limited natural resources, protecting the environment and improving people's quality of life. The turn from conventional agriculture to the application of green, circular, bioeconomy in agriculture, as well as conservation, integral and organic agriculture initiates the transition to sustainable development. By applying digitalization in agriculture, an optimal ratio of input and output can be achieved, i.e., increase productivity while preserving the environment. Accordingly, precision agriculture is developing more and more intensively. Artificial intelligence in agriculture has revolutionized agriculture. The terms, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) are often used interchangeably.
The increase in the world's population and insufficient food imposes the need to increase productivity, while increasingly pronounced climate changes condition the preservation of the environment. In order to meet these apparently conflicting goals, innovative approaches in agriculture are being developed. Accordingly, I was involved in writing a project based on a web application for supporting E-cooperative hub, as well as blockchain technology, machine learning and integration with ChatGPT.
Based on everything, I offer expertise in these areas of agriculture, and broader in sectoral economies (rural development, regional development, agriculture, tourism, etc.), in further research, application of innovative approaches on farms, collection of necessary data, processing of obtained data, and dissemination of results through publication.
