We are interested in collaborating in any activity that may include studies to redesign landscapes (e.g. wildfire management, biodiversity management, soil and water protection, conservation of landscapes and or species). My team of researchers has a diversity of backgrounds in social sciences, agronomy, soil science, water management, biodiversity and environmental engineering, animal science, veterinary, chemistry, toxicology, microbiology, food science, etc.
We are available for collaborations including leadership of Tasks and/or Work packages.
CISAS is a multidisciplinary unit of R&D, based at IPVC, with 72 members, including collaborators.
CISAS is supported by external experts, simultaneously reinforced by the contribution of the different stakeholders, private or public entities, interested and involved in our goals. Research at CISAS is organized into two areas: Agri-Food Systems & Agri-Resources Management and Sustainability. These cover the entire food chain “from farm to fork”, including the sustainable management of soils and water we work in the promotion of the landscape, and development of rural communities towards the EU Green Deal. We are equipped with Microbiology, Chemistry, and Food Technology Labs. We have also an experimental farm with experimental Orchards and Vineyards, a Zootechnical station, a Pilote Winery and Post-Harvest Facility, and a Plant Biotechnology Lab. We have strong industry links. Visit us at https://cisas.ipvc.pt/
