The Veterinary Academy at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences is the only University in Lithuania training veterinary doctors and husbandry technologists. VA was established in Kaunas (Lithuania) in 1936. VA carry fundamental, applied scientific research, experimental development, other scientific activity in fields of animal healthcare, diagnostics and welfare, food science and animal husbandry.
Veterinary Academy consist of two faculties – Veterinary medicine and Animal Science. Departments: Anatomy and Physiology, Veterinary Pathobiology, Food Safety and Quality. Besides there are Institute of Animal Science, Large animal clinic, Small animal clinic, Centre of practical training and experimentation.
