- at the farm level and its immediate surroundings
We are thrilled to express our interest in partnering with the AGROECOLOGY project. Our cooperative has a rich history of advancing agricultural technology, with a particular focus on artificial vision. Our mission aligns with sustainable agricultural practices, aiming to integrate innovative technology to enhance efficiency and environmental stewardship across farming systems.
Proposed Contributions to Agroecology
Our cooperative proposes to leverage artificial vision technology to address several critical challenges in agroecology at both farm and landscape levels:
- Crop Monitoring: Implementing real-time monitoring systems using artificial vision to detect early signs of pests, diseases, or water stress, thereby mitigating risks and enhancing crop health and yield.
- Soil and Water Analysis: Applying vision technology to assess soil and water quality provides essential data for sustainable management, helping to maintain the balance of nutrients and prevent resource depletion.
- Resource Optimization: Our systems can optimize the allocation of water and fertilizers by analyzing imagery data, reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
- Tillage Practices Improvement: Evaluating and refining planting and tillage techniques through visual assessments to minimize soil disruption and enhance biodiversity conservation.
- Biodiversity Support: Offering technologies to monitor farm and surrounding area biodiversity, aiding in the preservation and enhancement of natural habitats that benefit agricultural productivity.
- Integration into Living Labs: We are equipped to integrate our technology into existing or new living labs, facilitating experimentation and co-creation with project stakeholders.
We are committed to collaborating transdisciplinarily with researchers, farmers, and other partners to develop practical, scalable solutions that integrate both scientific and practical knowledge. Our cooperative is enthusiastic about participating in co-creation processes to ensure that the developed technologies meet the real needs of end-users and enhance their operational practices.
We are a cooperative based in Maresme (Barcelona) with clear aims: to promote the Social and Solidarity Economy, Agroecology, the energy transition and the circular economy, in all its dimensions. We carry out research and innovation in the cultural field. Our initiative is social and non-profit, driven by a passion for creating a more sustainable and conscious world.
Our mission covers several areas:
Dissemination and awareness-raising
Advice and support, including research
Training and collaborative work
Responsible consumption
Sustainable production
Promotion of culture and care for the environment
We are focused on building and reinforcing projects within the Social and Solidarity Economy, intrinsically woven with our territory.
In short, our co-operative is a driver of change committed to agroecology and sustainability, promoting projects and connecting with the local community to build a more equitable and conscious future together.
