Determine and assess benefits/impacts and trade-offs of agroecology, and identify best practices
We would like to be invovled in a project focusing on "Topic 1: Determine and assess benefits/impacts and trade-offs of agroecology, and identify best practices".
We can provide assessment of the economic, environmental and social sustainability by the application of Life Cycle Thinking approach as well as of multicriteria decision analysis and scenario analysis both at farm and regional level
The Department of Environmental Science and Policy (UNIMI-ESP) is a newborn research and training Department specifically dedicated to the multidisciplinary study of the environment.
The UNIMI-ESP research group has specific skills on agricultural engineering and livestock sectors as well as in ecotoxicology, ecology and biobased economy. Finally, ESP researchers are members of the Agrifood LCA Laboratory, an interdisciplinary laboratory established in 2015 at the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences that deals with the analysis of the environmental impact of agro-food chains with the LCA approach. The Lab also deals with all aspects related to the sustainable development of production chains and makes available to the project specific skills and instrumental resources (e.g., commercial software - Simapro® and others - specifically developed for LCA studies).
ESP LCA research group is involved in different EU project (H2020, PRIMA, Eranet) as responsible of the ASSESSMENT TASKS aiming at the evalutaion of the environmental, economi and social sustainability
