Determine and assess benefits/impacts and trade-offs of agroecology, and identify best practices
With expertise in remote sensing for human-biodiversity-climate change interactions in mountain agroecosystems, we are willing to deliver/contribute with such innovative approaches in the searching for benefits/impacts and trade-offs of agroecology and identify best practices.
We are looking forward to contribute in a project proposal focus on Topic 1.
The Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT) of the University of Lisbon has the Center of Geographical Studies (CEG) as its research unit. Together, they deliver geographical cutting-edge research, and solutions for the changes and challenges affecting land use and spatial planning, including in innovative agroecology solutions. By bridging the social and earth systems domains, IGOT-CEG envisions resilient territories and societies. IGOT-CEG has 185 researchers, and it is a very good research unit, according to FCT. IGOT-CEG is involved in international and national research networks (i.e., EUPolarNet, Marie Curie ITNs, Horizon Europe, and COST). It is a member of the National Associated Laboratory for Sustainable Land Use and Ecosystem Services (LA-TERRA).
