Enhancing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
We are seeking to join a consortium under Topic 1. Our areas of expertise include innovative soil sensing technologies and advanced plant health monitoring.
We are looking for projects that could benefit from our small, decomposable sensor nodes for soil monitoring, or our AI-based plant stress detection using hyperspectral imaging. We believe that these technological contributions could support the development and evaluation of resilient crop varieties and agroecological practices in real-life field conditions.
Other contributions related to sensors and AI are also possible, of course.
At Fraunhofer IMS, we specialize in cutting-edge research and development, focusing on high-performance sensors and AI. Our goal is to apply this expertise to the agri-food sector at every stage, from farm to fork.
We have successfully secured funding for a GEH project in the 2nd call (FarmScan), in which we will enable remote field analysis via biodegradable soil sensors and provide farmers with AI-based decision support.
