EXPERIMENTATION AND PROMOTION OF LOCAL AGROECOLOGICAL TRANSITION, ENHANCING BIODIVERSITY. Research on Organic fruit production. The network bases its main activity on the production of seasonal organic fruit, introducing diversity into a territory marked by cherry monoculture. Thus, it produces fruits adapted to the mountain landscape and to long periods of low rainfall: blueberries, raspberries, cherries, figs, kiwis, chestnuts, apples, persimmons, etc.
PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AND LOCAL MARKETS. Promotion of short agroecological marketing and distribution channels. Through the union of several producers and the inclusion of other locally sourced products with an agroecological vision, the network aims to promote the profitability and viability of initiatives through alternative markets.
eligible to receive funding from CDTI and JuntaEx.
The INDEHESA research group, in collaboration with local entities (for example, the Cultivating Water Operational Group), develops initiatives that serve as an umbrella for working on agroecological issues that involve producer and consumer initiatives.
