Strengthening farmers’ involvement and empowerment in the transition towards agroecology
Pueblo Ingenio’s motivation stems from a profound alignment between our grassroots rural development strategies and the European Union’s strategic goals for sustainable farming and Agroecology, where we have over twenty years’ experience. As a consultancy specialized in food craftsmanship,
Pueblo Ingenio focuses on converting craft passions into legal, safe, and sustainable projects based in agroecology that protect biodiversity and strengthen local economies and rural resilience.
A primary driver of our motivation is the scaling of the Bioregional Development Framework. This model uses river basins as tactical units to synchronize human development with natural cycles, aiming to activate just, regenerative, and democratic territorial transitions. This approach directly mirrors the Agroecology Partnership’s objective
of fostering agroecology at both farm and landscape levels.
Furthermore, Pueblo Ingenio seeks to integrate its Shared Food Workroom and Kitchen model from the approach that are not merely production spaces; they are critical social infrastructures for territorial resilience and climate democracy that act as nodes for rural innovation, community regeneration, and food sovereignty linked with circular and social economies, promoting territorialized bioregional value chains to retain wealth within rural communities.
Pueblo Ingenio is an agroecological consultancy with over twenty years of experience supporting rural individual and collective entrepreneurs. Their approach promotes regenerative food systems that protect biodiversity and strengthen local economies. We have an extensive experience in transforming artisanal projects into legal, sustainable initiatives through technical advice on food craftsmanship, shared workrooms, and artisanal wineries
We also have extensive experience in supporting strategic processes at a territorial level through a social innovation approach, which enables us to combine tradition and innovation, promote rural development and food sovereignty, whilst ensuring compliance with health, industrial and environmental regulations and the strategic alignment of our regions.
