Transform value chains, businesses and policies to facilitate the transition to agroecology
We are interested to join as a Social Science and Humanities (SSH) partner, bringing our specialized expertise in biodiversity finance and sustainable finance—an area that is rapidly gaining importance within EU partnership programs but remains underrepresented niche within multidisciplinary research initiatives. Finance can be a key lever to close the funding gap necessary to the success of agroecological transitions. As the demand for financial expertise grows, our involvement ensures that projects incorporate robust financial strategies that support long-term sustainability goals.
The Sustainable Finance Research Center (SFRC) at the Institute of Finance is uniquely positioned at the intersection of finance, biodiversity, and sustainability. Unlike traditional financial institutions, our team possesses extensive experience in working across disciplines, collaborating with natural and social scientists to create actionable financial solutions for complex ecological challenges. We have a proven track record of success in securing competitive EU funding, including our leadership and participation in several Biodiversa projects, demonstrating our capacity to deliver high-impact research that aligns with EU sustainability priorities.
The SFRC is a multidisciplinary research hub that brings together experts in sustainable finance, biodiversity risk assessment, and data-driven financial modeling. Our mission is to foster transformative change by bridging financial markets with ecological and social systems.
