Transform value chains, businesses and policies to facilitate the transition to agroecology
Project Proposal Title: Establishment to Forward and Backward Collaborations between Olive Oil Producers
The aim of the project is to develop a business model that will enable olive oil producing companies to produce efficiently and profitably, while protecting the ecology, through forward and backward cooperation. The profitable and efficient operation of olive oil enterprises is very important for the sustainability of olive production, which has countless benefits for the environment. At the same time, olive oil is a very valuable food product and can only be produced in the Mediterranean climate zone worldwide. Therefore, the sustainability of production in producing countries is also critical for meeting world demand.
With the project proposal, a model will develop for small-scale olive oil producers to cooperate in input supply, plant protection, fertilizing and waste management. At the same time, studies will carry out on the establishment of a common marketing agency within the scope of forward cooperation.
