Enhancing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
We offer our expertise in AI image recognition as a tool for recording and documenting genetic diversity, for automated field phenotyping and for collaboration on FAIR data infrastructures. This enables plants in biodiverse, low-pesticide systems to be monitored and recorded effectively. We also offer expertise in the field of sensor technology for recording soil and climate factors.
Our Service Science research group focuses on the development, provision and continuous improvement of services for SMEs and service ecosystems.
With the research projects ENABLE https://www.hhz.de/en/research/research-projects/enable and 5G-PreCiSe https://www.5g-precise.de/home, we have expanded our research focus to include ecosystems and data infrastructure in agriculture. We are dedicated to implementing sustainable value chains and business models, as well as establishing FAIR data structures in sensor technology and image recognition from drone flights in order to record the plant health of sustainable cultivation systems.
