Enhancing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
We are interested in genomic characterization of animals, bacteria and plants to determine the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock. We could provide the consortium a comprehensive genomic characterization of the crops/livestock of interest.
At the Institute of Hygiene, we have a history of more than two decades of genotyping, in particular of bacteria. However, we are in the transition of implementing also genotyping of various crops and livestock. We have the respective technology (3rd generation sequencing technology) and IT structures in place to analyze high-throughput genotypic data. Furthermore, we could provide transcriptomic analysis to characterize, e.g. in-depth the behaviour of crops with varying genotypes under given (environmental) changes.
