Enhancing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
We would like to participate in a consortium where genotyping is helpful to characterize the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock.
At the Institute of Hygiene, we have a history of more than two decades of genotyping, in particular of bacteria. However, we are in the transition of implementing also genotyping of various crops and livestock. We have the respective technology (3rd generation sequencing technology) and IT structures in place to analyze high-throughput genotypic data. Furthermore, we could provide transcriptomic analysis to characterize, e.g. in-depth the behaviour of crops with varying genotypes under given (environmental) changes.
