Strengthening farmers’ involvement and empowerment in the transition towards agroecology
Our cooperation interest focuses on contributing post-harvest physiology expertise to projects addressing farmer participation and social innovation within agroecology.
We are interested in collaborating with multi-actor consortia to:
-Support farmer motivation and engagement through improved post-harvest practices that enhance product quality, reduce losses and increase farm income
-Contribute to peer learning approaches, including farmer-to-farmer knowledge exchange, on-farm demonstrations and participatory training activities
-Strengthen AKIS (Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems) by providing scientific and applied knowledge on post-harvest handling adapted to agroecological systems
-Contribute to the improvement of working conditions in post-harvest operations through sustainable, practical and socially acceptable solutions
We seek cooperation with farmer organisations, advisory services, research institutions and NGOs working on agroecology, innovation and rural development.
