Enhancing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
We are planning a proposal for the Agroecology Partnership 3rd Co-funded Call focusing on genetic and environmental stability of low alkaloid content in narrow leafed lupin (Lupinus angustifolius), combining breeding, genomics and agroecological evaluation.
We are currently seeking complementary partners with expertise in agroecology, agronomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics or field-based evaluation to jointly develop a competitive consortium.
The JKI Institute for Breeding Research on Agricultural Crops has long-standing expertise in lupin research, supported by numerous nationally and internationally funded projects.
Its core expertise lies in the use of genetic diversity for breeding, including genetic and genomic analyses, as well as the phenotyping of agronomically relevant traits across different lupin species.
