Enhancing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and livestock for the agroecological transition
We are looking for partners interested in jointly developing an interdisciplinary Topic 1 project.
Our Ornamental Plants Department study on ornamental plant cultivation and breeding, domestication and cultivation of native plant species for ornamental use, ongoing breeding and cultivation programmes on landscape roses, oil-bearing rose and hydrangea. We aim to explore how genetic diversity can contribute to climate resilience, low-input production and sustainable horticultural systems.
We are open to collaboration with partners from any relevant discipline whose expertise can complement this goal. We particularly welcome innovative perspectives that can help integrate genetic diversity, stress phenotyping and participatory approaches to support the selection and development of ornamental plant genotypes adapted to low-input, climate-resilient agroecological systems.
